As the Philippine literature expands by generation, we adapt cultures from the countries who colonized us. And by that, in 21st century, there were many regional writers who proved that Filipinos have something to say about literature. I would gonna focus single Regional Writer in my blog and the would be Dr. Steven Prince Patrick . Fernandez.

DR. STEVEN PRINCE "patrick" C. FERNANDEZ
Before we jump to Dr. Steven Prince Patrick C. Fernandez achievements, let us first know who is he before he became a fame writer.
Steven Prince Patrick C. Fernandez or commonly known as TIBO was born in Manila on January 19.
His parents was Dean
Segundo P. Fernandez and Julieta Castillo. He is the eldest of ten kids.
He attended the
University of the Philippines elementary and high schools and graduated with a
degree in English at the Mindanao State University in Marawi City. He earned
his M.A. in Philippine Studies (with a gold medal recognition) majoring in the
Humanities (minors in Comparative Literature and Anthropology). He is the
country's only Doctor of Fine Arts degree graduate (major: Creative Writing)
from a Philippine university, the De La Salle.
It
was his exposure to Maranao and Mindanao cultures after rough years at the U.P.
High School that made his interest in indigenous southern cultures grow. These
experiences in the South nurtured the creative compositions that have been
performed, published, and discussed in numerous venues here and abroad.
He is also a leading Philippine artist and scholar having established
performance courses including the pioneering Culture and Arts Studies Program.
He founded Integrated Performing Arts Guild (IPAG) performing his trailblazing
works around the country and in over a hundred cities in Europe, North America,
the Pacific, and Asia.
He has been Fellow of the Rotary International, the Japan Foundation, and the Anthropology of Theatre (Eugenio Barba, Sweden). His awards include the Palanca, CCP Gantimpala, CCP Pilak, U.P. Likhaan, Francisco Demetrio Award for Culture and the Arts, supported by countless acclamation and reviews here and abroad. His 39-year old IPAG, perhaps the country’s most-traveled repertory company, is a well-acclaimed performance company.

Tibo's Literary Works
* MING MING *
His entry, “Ming Ming,” which production many consider to be the epitome of Mindanao Theatre production achievement, is the first postmodern Philippine play about a Mindanao subject. This award was given by Palanca.
*SARIMANOK*
This piece
is an example of melodrama. A melodrama is a dramatic or literary work in which the plot, which is typically sensational and designed to appeal strongly to the emotions, takes precedence over detailed characterization. Characters are often simply drawn, and may appear stereotyped.

CRITIQUE
It is very hard
for me to critique Dr. Steven Prince "Patrick" C. Fernandez because
the sources of information is very limited. His literary works are not told in
internet, even a single line about his works just titles of it. But anyways, I
would just critique him by the information I have gathered.
I am inspired of
Dr. Steven Fernandez. Even though I wasn't able to witness his works but his
achievements says it all. He receive more than 5 international awards and 14
local awards. He Had also programs that helps prevent poverty and violence
against woman. He is also not just a ordinary writer, he is also a Composer-arranger, multi-media artist, and a cultural researcher, he is author of The Human Image in the Arts and Making Theatre: The Craft of the Stage. He has a Master of Arts (Philippine Studies, U.P. Diliman) Doctor of Fine Arts (Creative Writing, De La Salle University) degrees.
To sum up, Dr. Steven is a
good example in which he is patient
and realize that completing an article(fiction or not) is a haughty goal. He
does not deprive his readers for learning broad topics into specif. His hard
work results a good fruit. And I'll end this with the saying "Work hard
silently, let your success makenoise."
